Better Excel tables in Powerpoint

Pasting tables into powerpoint from excel can be very troublesome with respect to layout and presentation. The formay normally is dropped and what you get in powerpoint is a table with small default fonts and lots of spaces within the cells. Reformatting this point will be very tedious because of how dynamic the cells are.

A simple trick is to paste the excel table to an image editor and insert the image file in power point. Do note though that this method is only good if you're just presenting the table and there's no need for linking or changing any values in the excel sheet.

Steps:

  1. Select the desired table from your excel sheet

  2. Select Copy (CTRL C)

  3. Open Paintbrush if you're using office (Accessories --> Paint)

  4. Key-in Paste (CTRL V)

  5. Save the file as .PNG or JPG (PNG Works better between Office Applications)

  6. Open your presentation in MS Powerpoint

  7. Insert the image files that you've just created
